ORTHA LEE ELLIS, age 85, was born in a one room log cabin in Pottsville, Arkansas and passed away quietly on June 25, 2010 in Conroe, TX. She was an adoring wife, mother and grandmother and great grandmother. Ortha was a member of Tallowood Baptist Church and loved babies, pets and flowers. Ortha is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Etta Henry; twin-sister, Dortha Smith; brother, Truman Henry and sister, Margie Meeker. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, George O. Ellis; daughters, Linda Lee Smith & husband Gary, Pat Rodgers, Paulette Marie Hamm & husband Pat; grandchildren, James Gaile, II, Lee Michael Clark, Darren Paul Clark & wife Denise; great grandchildren, Sean Austin Clark and Hunter Paul Clark; nephews, Truman Heimer & wife Betty and Robert Ellette. Visitation will be held 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at the Chapel of Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home with Rev. Duane Brooks officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery. Loving thanks to her caregiver, Gabriella Perez and the staff at Above & Beyond Assisted Living in Conroe, TX.
