Death of Mrs. Perkins
After being for two months in a very feeble condition, complicated with the afflictions of old age, Mrs. Mary Perkins died at the home of her son, John Perkins, in Springtown, Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock, passing away peacefully and happily. Mrs. Perkins was 81 years old. She had lived in and around Springtown for the past thirty years, and for 68 years had been a member of the Methodist church there. Mrs. Perkins is survived by two sons and one daughter; John of Springtown and U. W. Perkins of Weatherford, and Mrs. Webb Ross of Dicey. Her funeral was held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial was made afterward in Springtown Cemetery.

It states that Mary Jane was the sister of Benson G. Gilliland, grandfather of Ina Mae. Thus, Ina Mae Gilliland and John W. Perkins were cousins. John W. b. Feb 9, 1954 in Ranger, Texas. He is buried in Retrop, Oklahoma. Ina Mae was b. in Ark. and d. in Hereford, Texas on 19 Jul 1937 and is buried in Retrop, Oklahoma. Their family was:
1. Don Perkins. B. July 1899 d. Sept 1905, Springtown
2. Ralph Emerson Perkins b. Jun 22, 1905
3. Infant daughter b. 1909 d. 1909
4. Edward Fyke b. May 30, 1910 Springtown, Texas

Ralph Emerson Perkins married on Aug 8, 1936 to Ruby Oleta Newman, b. Sept 22, 1917 at Malta, Texas. They lived in Abilene, Texas where he worked as a chiropractor and he was also a Baptist minister and serves in that capacity from time to time. He was a member of the of the Queen Esther Chapter No. 833, Order of the Eastern Star and was named to Masonic Ambessador committee of the Grand Chapter of Texas. They had:
John Newton b. Jan 28, 1943, now lives in Dallas, Texas
William Ralph b. Jun 1, 1945
Particia Mae b. Nov 19, 1946, who lived in Houston
Ruby Kaye b. Jan 6, 1946
