Maxine R. Fugal Will Be Missed Maxine R. Fugal was born to Lot and Lucille Robinson of American Fork, Utah. Maxine was raised in American Fork attending elementary and secondary school there. She went on to USU, and after raising her family returned to BYU to finish her degree. She taught elementary school for 16 years. Upon retirement she served three missions: Tallahassee, Florida; Atlanta Georgia Temple and the Dallas Texas Temple for the LDS church. Maxine married Jean A. Fugal in the Salt Lake Temple. They are the parents of five children, Paul (Louanne) Fugal; Karen (Glenn) Peterson; Mac (Pat) Fugal; Colleen (Jim) Starr and Anne (Ray) Pollmann. They have 17 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Maxine has been active in the LDS church her whole life, serving in nearly all ward and stake positions for women. She was a temple ordinance worker for many years. She and Jean recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with all five children and their spouses by their side. Funeral serivces will be held at the Timpanogos First Ward, 475 East 500 North in Pleasant Grove on Friday, June 25, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and relatives may honor her for one hour prior to the service. There will also be a viewing at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove on Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be at the Pleasant Grove City Cemetery.
