Marcel was among 16 children born in Oconto Falls, WI to Andrew and Jane Kontizer on May 30, 1925. He married Marie Elizabeth Vorron on June 22, 1946 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Oconto Falls Wi. The couple lived in various parts of eastern Wisconsin where Marcel worked for TecSystems, Inc. in DePere, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Marcel was kindhearted and a loving husband, father and grandfather who could always make you laugh.

Marcel and Marie had seven children. Joseph, Allan, Marcel Jr., Lana, Wm. Charles, Timothy, and Roer.

It is noted he died from a bad heart.
