The Frederick Leader (Frederick, Oklahoma), Friday, September 23, 1910, Pg. 7
In Memoriam
Near Hayesville, in Clay county, North Carolina, on the 14th of March, 1894, a little daughter came to gladden to the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Allgood. Soon little Ora A. became the idol of sister and brothers. For more than sixteen years her sweet young life was a blessing to her home.
At the age of twelve she accepted Christ as her Savior and united with the Friendship Baptist church, living a consistant member of the same until her Master called her home in the early hours of August 30, 1910, leaving a father, mother, three brothers, and two sisters, besides many friends, to mourn her loss. Her body was laid to rest in the Center View cemetery in the presence of hundreds of friends, many weeping schoolmates, and her loving relatives.
It was the writer's happy privilege to know this sweet child only as only a loving teacher can know a faithful, courteous, and obedient pupil. She lovingly responded to my every wish for her betterment and never came to recitation with a poorly prepared lesson. As we looked for the last time on her loved form we could but ask God to make all our lives better by our memory of her faithfulness.
