West Point-Marie Awtrey Bryan,94,died Saturday,March 13,2004,at St. Catherine's Villiage in Madison. She was born in Chickasaw County to the late Etta Idella Cantrell Awtrey and William Miles Awtrey. She married Frank Jennings Bryan Sr. on Sept.30,1935; he predeceased her April 14,1972. She was also predeceased by grandson, John Charles Bryan Jr. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Boone, N.C.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Greenwood Cemetery in West Point with E. Scott Allen officiating. Calvert Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors include one daughter, Frances Marie Bryan Conerly and husband, Wallace,of Jackson; two sons, Frank Jennings Bryan Jr. and wife, Flo, and John Charles Bryan and wife, Margaret, all of Jackson; four grandchildren, Albert Wallace Conerly Jr., Charles Franklin Conerly and wife, Lynn, Marie McWillie Bryan and Suzanne Sevier Bryan, all of Jackson; two great-grandchildren, Chase Bryan Conerly and Anne Marie Conerly, both of Jackson; two sisters, Connie Clift of Houston, Texas and Lois Ernest of Aberdeen.
