He was the son of John Leonard and Frances "Fannie" N. (Dodson) Chisam and married Ollie Belle Metcalf - 12 Feb 1923 - Franklin Co., Tennessee. His obituary follows:

Funeral services for Willie Washington Chisam, 62, of the Parks City community, will be held at 2:30 Friday afternoon at the Fayetteville First Methodist Church, with Rev. Carroll Hickman and Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Chisam died Wednesday night in the Lincoln County Hospital after a short illness.

He was born in White County, Tennessee and was a son of the late John Leonard and Fannie Dodson Chisam. He was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church, and was a veteran of World War I.

Mr. Chisam was a carpenter and had been employed at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, Alabama, for a number of years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ollie Metcalf Chisam, Parks City; three daughters, Mrs. Mary F. Balch, Anniston, Alabama, Mrs. Sara F. Ray, Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Mrs. Lillian M. Hill, Tullahoma, Tennessee; two sons, Robert L. Chisam, Fayetteville, and W. W. Chisam, Jr., Pinson, Alabama; two brothers, Thomas L. Chisam, Portland, Tennessee, and Louis M. Chisam of Nashville; 13 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
