In 1985, the Hardin County Historical Society read the stone as, "Infant Hardin" "March 10 1900" However, this was probably misread. It is more likely that the stone says 1906.
This baby is not listed in the June 1900 census, therefore, this child could not have been born in 1900. This baby's mother died on March 20, 1906. It is assumed that she died 10 days after this infant was born. (Possibly due to complications from giving birth, or to a disease that she and the baby had) John M. Hardin, Alton Hardin, and Henry Swain Hardin, are this child's siblings.
