John W. Albus, Laddonia --- Services for John W. Albus, 74, of Laddonia, will be held Saturday at i p.m. in St. John's Catholic Church, Laddonia, with the Rev. John Walsh officiating. Burial will be in the Laddonia Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. today at the Bienhoff Funeral Home, Laddonia, where a prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Albus died Thursday at 8:16 p.m. at Audrain Medical Center after an illness of about a year.

He was a native of Mexico, where he was born June 28, 1912, a son of Henry and Heriette Burns Albus. On April 3, 1937, in the rectory of St. Brendon Parish, Mexico, he was married to Minnie C. Wyss by Monsignor Patrick D. Gavan. She survives at the family home.

Others who survive are his son-in-law and daughter, Kenny and Harriett Power of Lakenan; four grandchildren; one brother, George Albus, Laddonia; three sisters, Mrs. Ralph Orion (Cecelia) Shrader and Mrs. Adrian (Mary) Fennewald, both of Mexico, and Mrs. Leon (Margaret) McClellan of Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.

Mr. Albus was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Laddonia. He had been employed for 40 years by the Laddonia Farber Special Road District, and farmed. Mr. and Mrs. Albus moved to Laddonia from Mexico in 1944.
