Widow of James H. Galloway Sr.
Dorothy Spencer Galloway, a retired secretary, died of colon cancer Sunday at her home. She was 67.
Mrs. Galloway was born in Buffalo, New York, and lived in New Orleans, Louisiana, for 50 years and in Slidell, Louisiana, for 10 years. She had been a secretary with the United States Department of Agriculture for 15 years when she retired in 1975.
Survivors include four sons, James H. Galloway Jr., Robert A. Galloway, Timothy P. Galloway, and Richard C. Galloway; six daughters, Louise G. Pipitone, Frances A. Galloway, Mary G. Benoit, Sharon G. Bennett, Opal G. Post, and Kathleen M. Galloway; two brothers, Roy F. Spencer and Rex A. Spencer Jr.; two sisters, Phyllis S. Ardoin and Lillian S. Butler; 14 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Preceded in death by her daughter Joyce Ellen Galloway, and her husband, James Henry Galloway.
A Mass was offered on 2 December 1992, at 9 a.m., at Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, 1717 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, Louisiana.
Date of Burial in Cypress Grove Cemetery on 2 December 1992.
