His father was Johan Ludwig Scheuringer and his mother was Eva Barbara Scheuringer nee Wolf. He was born in Möhringen, Wuerttemberg, Germany, where his father is buried.
His baptism/christening was June 21, 1835.
He arrived in New York on August 4, 1854, aboard the ship Richard Cobden. His occupation was listed as a shoemaker.
He appears to have traveled to Germany as a tourist and returned in 1888 on the ship Werra.
His first wife was Dorothea Gunther, they married on April 25, 1859 at Saint Michael's and Zion Church at Philadelphia.
His second wife was Fredericka Haufler, they married on January 27, 1867 at The United Church of Christ at Philadelphia.
His third wife was Pauline Mathilda Konzelmann, they married on November 8, 1885 at Philadelphia.
Served in Civil War for the Union - Sergeant.

"SCHEURINGER - On April 25, after a long illness, Abraham Scheuringer,aged 60 years. The relatives and friends of the family, also all lodges of which he was a member, are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, this (Sunday) afternoon, at 1 o'clock, from his late residence, 310 North Third street. Interment at Mount Vernon Cemetery."
