John Wesley Adams, 75, Murray, died at 3:30am Thursday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital, Murray, after a short illness.
Services will be at 2pm Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. Wesley Hibbs officiating and burial in Robertson Cemetery, Trigg County.
Visitation will be after 2pm today at the funeral home.
A native of Christian County, he was born March 12, 1908, the son of the late Menon W. and Carrie Dunning Adams. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Pentecostal Church, Trigg County and was a retired farmer.
One son, Joe Hoy Adams, died in 1932.
Survivors include his wife, Floyd Cooper Adams; one son, Menon W. Adams, Danville, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. Clifton (Mary Lou) Hutson, Murray; one half brother, William Burley Broadbent, Trigg County; one half sister, Nora Mae Thomas, Louisville; seven grandchildren, one step grandchild,10 great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.
