Des Moines Register Mon Nov 11, 1991
L Earl Roquet, 97, of Valley View Village, 2571 Guthrie Ave., died of a heart ailment Friday at Veterans Medical Center. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Merle Hay Mortuary, with interment at Merle Hay Mausoleum.
Mr. Roquet was born in Fremont and lived in Des Moines 71 years. He was an Army veteran of World War I and had retired from the Des Moines Transit Co. He was a member of First Christian Church of Des Moines and Highland Park American Legion Post.
Survivors include two sons, D. Dwight and Wayne L. both of Des Moines, a daughter Darlene Anderson of Urbandale; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
