Margaret Bowen Hunt is buried in Walker County,Georgia. There is a Hunt Family Cemetery within the Chickamauga Battlefield National Park, this cemetery belongs to Helm & Lydia Freeman Hunt Family. There is no stone in there for her at the site.
Another Descendant now desceased Karon Elaine Owens Smith told me of this info. Karon's cousin visited the site with her mother who is now also desceased. They had personal knowledge of the fact Margaret is buried there. At the time of the Civil War Margaret was living near a stream near this place. She helped the confederate soldiers who were camped nearby. Margaret died in 1869 according to testamony I have in a re estate for John Hunt in the 1880's testamony was given by close friends and a daughter that included the year of Margarets death. Helm Hunt would have been a cousin to John (these documents are very interesting
