On March 22, 1872, Miss Tedlock was united in marriage to Jacob H. Redifer in Hickory County Missouri. To this union two daughters and four sons were born, Mrs Flora Sumner, Mrs Virga Craig, of Drain, Oregon., E.W. Redifer, A.C. Redifer, of Myrtle Creek, Oregon., R. L. Redifer and Capt. I. V. Redifer of Albany, Oregon; all of whom, with the father survive Sister Redifer. Mrs Redifer leaves also two sisters, five brothers, eighteen grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
Mrs Redifer with her husband and family moved to Kansas from Missouri in 1885, where they lived till 1895, when they removed to Myrtle Creek, Oregon. About 12 years ago they came to Drain, where they have since made their home and where their two daughters, Mrs Sumner, and Mrs Craig live.
For more than half a century Sister Redifer has been a faithful member of the M. E. branch of the Church of Jesus Christ; above all that, she has been a consistent, loyal Christian, faithful wife, a loving mother.
And her children arise up and call her blessed. Some of her last conscious statements to her family were: He shed His blood for me."Have faith in God". "Weep for joy and "Hide me, Oh my Saviour hide."
"Servant of God, well done!
Thy glorious warfare's past,
The battle's fought, the race won,
And thou art crowned at last." -Lord Byron.
My great grandmother had my grandmother write down information on the family, she stated that the Tadlocks came from England in 1732.
