Services for Vernest Eugene Windley, 38, 7201 Rosewood, who died Friday at a Boise hospital, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Eighteenth Ward of the Boise LDS Church with Bishop Cecil Thomas officiaing. Internment will follow at the Garden City Cemetary under the direction of Relyea Chapel. Friends may call at the chapel until 8:30 p.m. Monday and at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

He was born Sept. 1, 1927, at Montpelier where he attended school. He entered the armed services in 1945 and later worked for the Montpelier Coal and Lumber Co. as a bookkeeper and auditor. He was also a telegrapher for the Union Pacific Railroad Co. and a state highway inspector. Mr. Windley started work for the Morrison Merril Co. in 1955 at Pocatello moving to Idaho Falls in 1956 where he worked for the company. He married DeEsta Larsen in 1946 at Salt Lake City.

He was a member of the LDS Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Surviving him besides his wife are a daughter, Marsha Ann Harris, and a son, Michael Eugene Windley, both of Boise; a sister, Eldora Windley, Portland; a brother, Thomas G. Windley, Salt Lake City, and a grandchild.
