Major League Baseball Player. Played Major League baseball as a pitcher for 6 years (1883 to 1887, 1890) with the Buffalo Bisons of the National League, Milwaukee Grays of the Union Association League, and the Philadelphia Athletics, New York Metropolitians and Toledo Blue Stockings of the American Association League. A left-handed pitcher, he was one of the first to master the curve ball. Hia career totals were 62 Wins-81 Losses, 147 Games Pitched, 607 Strike Outs, and a career 3.86 Earned Run Average.
