Scott Thomas Coleman of White Lake died unexpectedly on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the age of 25.

The son of Nelda Cortez Coleman and Thomas S. Coleman, he was born August 31, 1984 in San Angelo, TX.

A 2003 graduate of Monticello High School, Scott served our country with two tours of duty in the United States Marine Corps in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was also an avid skier and former member of the Holiday Mountain Ski Club.

He is survived by his parents, Nelda and Tom Coleman of White Lake; a sister, Rita Coleman of Astoria; his paternal grandmother, Rita Coleman Radzieski of Scranton, PA; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends from all over. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, John F. Coleman and his maternal grandparents, Joe and Janie Cortez.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 27 from 6-9 p.m. at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 28 at 10 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Broadway and Liberty Street in Monticello, with Fr. John Tran officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Bethel.
