John Roy Addington, 50, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010. John was a 1978 graduate of Central High School and earned a printing degree from Vincennes University. He was formerly employed as a master printer at Berry Plastics. John previously worked at Keller-Crescent Co.

He had a love for motorcycles, used to race them and was a member of the Wildcat Motorcycle Club where he and his father enjoyed spending time together. John collected antique Lionel trains and old coins.

He loved spending time with his family, going on vacation with his sisters and enjoyed the holiday seasons. John will be remembered as a kind, gentle man who never knew a stranger and loved his family.

John is survived by: Sisters and brothers-in-law, Chris and Mike Powers, Leigh Anne Cutrell Spivey and Ernest Spivey, Barbara Addington, Laura and Greg Goebel, nieces and nephews, Justin, Sara and Ryan Powers, Jamie, Jason (Megan) and Kyle Cutrell, Jessica and Craig Goebel, Jaqueline Neugebohrn, all of Evansville, IN, Great-Niece, Madelynn Hall, Great-Nephew, Jackson Cutrell, Aunt, Evangeline Herr of Newburgh, IN.

John is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy "Pud" E. and Emily Margaret (Herr) Addington.


Funeral services will be held 5:00 PM Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN. There will be a private burial at St. Matthew's Cemetery at a later date.
Friends may visit from 2:00 PM until time of service on Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Browning Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Retired Veterans Memorial Club, 491-7 Applewood Ct., Evansville, IN 47712 or the Vanderburgh Humane Society P.O.
