(Mattie was married first to Samuel E. Winget.) Albert was a farmer and textile employee; and a member of South Point United Methodist Church, Belmont, NC. He was predeceased by his first wife, Mattie, and survived by his second wife, Zora Underdown Armstrong and two step daughters, Katherine Wentz, Belmont, NC; and Vanda Connard, Gastonia, NC; and a sister, Grace Armstrong, Belmont, NC.
