Lucy Bennett, 89, Old Hoppertown Road, Russell Springs, died Monday, March 3, 2008 at the Russell County Hospital.

She was the daughter of the late Samuel Charles and Celestia Ann Wilson Hart and the widow of Arnie Bennett.

She is survived by one son, Ivan (Rena) Bennett, Russell Springs; one daughter, Willodean (Glen) Richardson, Russell Springs; six grandchildren, Stephen (Jeannine) Bennett, John (Angie) Bennett), Susan (Barry) Stringer, Alisa (Chris) King, Preston (Christy) Richardson and Stanley Richardson; 14 great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law, Wilmerth Hart, Russell Springs.

She was preceded in death by one great granddaughter, Faith Richardson; four sisters and four brothers.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Salem United Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 6, at Salem United Baptist Church with Eld. Larold Gosser officiating.

Burial in the Salem Cemetery. Special music by Southern Harmony Church Choir.
Pallbearers were Stephen Bennett, John Bennett, Preston Richardson, Stanley Richardson, Chris King and Barry Stringer.
