Geroge was the son of George and Eloisa (Fernandez) Aguirre. He is survived by a sister, Guadalupe and three half brothers, Joseph, Johnny and Michael Armijo.

When he arrived in Vietnam he was assigned to Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division.
He was killed by small arms fire during combat in Quang Tri Province.

He graduated from Santa Ana Valley High School, where he was a member of the cross country track team. He was a 2-miler runner.
