Evelyn L. Bevins, 56, of Lowell Rd., RD2, Rome, died yesterday at St. Luke´s Hospital.
She was born August 26, 1912 in Chadwicks, a daughter of Ralph W. and Inez O´Connell Roberts. She was a graduate of Utica Free Academy. On July 3, 1930, she was married to Marvin M. Bevins in Utica. He died in 1971. She worked for 15 years for Sitrue Paper Mill, retiring in 1970. Surviving besides her mother of Utica are three daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Wilma) Baldwin of Bridgewater, N.J., Mrs. John (Carol) Quirk of Citrus Heights, California and Mrs. Jack (Joan) Nicholl of Sylvan Beach; one brother, Ralph W. Roberts, Jr., of Utica; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from the Quinn, Ryan & Nunn Funeral Home, 2212 Genesee St. Friday at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
