He was a lifetime member of the Yardville Fire Co. and a member of the Elks Lodge 2262 B.P.O.E. He was the husband of Monica (AKA Mayme) R. (Jaruszewski) Applegate and father of Doris Marie (Applegate) Wieland of Apollo Beach, Florida and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He was also the son of William Henry Applegate and the grandson of Isaac Slover Applegate and Mary Emma (Kreemer) Applegate, and the great grandson of Henry M. and Emma (Clymer) Kreemer, all of Trenton, NJ.
