Mustered in 3/1864 Gallops Island Boston Harbor
Occupation at time of enrollment: shoemaker
4/8/64 assigned to Company G
July & Aug 1864 Muster Roll card says, "Prisoner to the enemy since July 6/64"
Muster Out Roll card dated 7/20/1865 says, "Died in Rebel Prison Aug. 18, 1864, at Andersonville, GA. No official notice recv'd." on the front of the card. On the back of the card it says, "Aug. 29, 64". August 29th is what's on all other cards. Only that one spot said the 18th.
