William Andrew Belz, brother of Richard Belz.
Milwood, Ga, Ga. — Funeral services to celebrate the life of William A. Belz, 56, a resident of Millwood, Ga., formerly of Davenport, will be 1 p.m. Friday September 12, 2008, at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home.
Burial will take place in the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal.
Visitation will be Friday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Mr.Belz died Sunday August 31, 2008 at Clinch Memorial Hospital, Homervville, Ga.
Willeam Andrew Belz was born March 26, 1952, a son of Walter George and Marian Matilda {Snow} Belz.
His parents passing when he was a young man took a toll on William and he missed them deeply.
William was a truck driver most of his adult life traveling the highways of America. He was currently working for G-Line Trucking out of Dyersville, Iowa.
William loved to play euchre during family gatherings. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his grandsons.
Wiliam loved & enjoyed the “ occasional l” drink with family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the family.
Survivors include his children,
Tonya Voss and Matthew Belz, both of Davenport,
Billy Belz,
Angela Belz, and Daniel Belz, all of Georgia; grandsons, Andrew Parker and Tyler {T.J.} Voss, Davenport; brothers Eugene Belz, Litton, Iowa, and
Richard Belz, Davenport; sister, Fern Miller, Davenport,
Lorraine Carswell and Shirley Shriver, Waycross, Ga.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
