Marsha D. Lang Hoelting

Marsha D. Hoelting, 59, Basehor, KS (formerly of Shawnee, KS), passed away Friday, August 10, 2001, at her home in Basehor, KS, after a courageous 8-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Mrs. Hoelting was born May 28, 1942, in Wichita, KS.
She was a 1960 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Shawnee, KS.
She was married to Albert G. Hoelting on July 1, 1961, and after raising six children she worked at KU Medical Center as an Administrator for 13 years until her illness.
She was an avid quilter and collector and made friends everywhere she went.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Mrs. Hoelting was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Wanda Lang, and her mother-in-law, Alice B. Hoelting.
She is survived by her husband, Albert G. Hoelting, of the home; six children, Albert G. Hoelting Jr. and wife, Ann, Paula Y. Merrill and husband, David, all of Shawnee, KS, Geoffery A. Hoelting, of Kansas City, KS, John C. Hoelting and wife, Marjorie, of Gardner, KS, Scott J. Hoelting and wife, Jamie, of Kansas City, KS, and Nicholas J. Hoelting, of Basehor, KS; her birth mother, Grace Lundry, of Hutchinson, KS; one sister, Conni Burie, of California; one brother, Mark Lundry, of Hutchinson, KS; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, at the Holy Angels Catholic Church, 15438 Leavenworth Rd., in Basehor, KS; burial to follow in the Holy Angels Cemetery.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the church with the Rosary service held at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities Hospice of Leavenworth County or Kansas Right to Life, both in care of the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, 214 Oak St., Bonner Springs, KS 66012.
