Kathryn Lee (Seals) Collins , 71, of Rockton died at 12:15am Saturday, August 7, 2004. Born September 17, 1932 in Lenoir City, TN, the daughter of Harrison and Virgie (Hill) Seals, She married Edward "Red" Collins, her best friend and life partner, on April 2, 1950, in Iuka, MS and moved to Rockton in 1955. She will be missed by many Rockton locals who remember her from the decade she worked at Golden Nugget Donut Shop. She was a member of Old Stone Church United Church of Christ, Rockton. Survivors include husband, Edward Collins of Rockton; son, Robert "Eddie" Collins of Rockton, granddaughters, Amanda Sole of Machesney Park, and Susan and Sarah Collins of Rockton. In addition to her immediate family, Aunt Kate will be dearly missed by generations of Ferguson and Madison kids who were lucky enough to spend every Christmas holiday, Easter Sunday at the zoo, and countless weekends with her and Uncle Red. We love you, Aunt Kate. When she was not spending time with all her kids, Kathryn enjoyed activities with her many card-club pals, ceramics and traveling all over the country with her husband. She is predeceased by her father, Harrison Seals; stepfather, Bob Cox; daughter, Tammi Lee Collins; and mother, Virgie Cox.
