Henry Best was married Sunday to Miss Ila M. Briggs at her home in Oberlin, Kansas. After a visit at Leavenworth, Kansas, and a western trip of three weeks, they will make their home here.

Ila Maude Best, 92, died Tuesday at the Sunset Haven Nursing Home, Curtis. She was born Nov 2, 1883 at Oberlin, Kansas, the daughter of the late Ellwood and Rosella Briggs.She was married to Henry Best June 6, 1912 at Oberlin and had spent most of her life in McCook, NE.
She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Ak-Sar-Ben Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star in Omaha; a charter member of the Matinee Music Club and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She was preceded in death by her husband August 21, 1949 and by a daughter, Lillian Dunbar.
Survivors are a son, Ellwood Best of McCook, a daughter, Mrs. Clem (Ila) Stramel of Redwood Falls, MN; twelve grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Christian Science service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hermann Memorial Chapel. Ben Hormel will be the reader. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials to the Ila Maude Best Memorial Fund may be left at the funeral home.
