James E. Adams
James E. Adams, who retired from the Mobile Paper Board Co. after 30 years, died Tuesday at a local hospital. He was 83.
Adams, a native of Holt, Fla., was a longtime resident of Mobile County.
He was a member of Pentecostal Tabernacle Church of Wilmer.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Bertie Mae Adams of Wilmer; five children, Jerry Adams, Randy Adams, Angela Adams and Crystal Adams, all of Mobile, and Cynthia Sherffield of Monroeville; one brother, Jake Adams of Mobile; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday from noon until the 2 p.m. service at Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street. Burial will be in Spring Hill Memorial Gardens.
