Services for Laura Mae Cline, 73, of Hobbs, N.M., will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chapel of Hope Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow in Memory Gardens under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Laura was born April 25, 1927, in Gulfport, Mississippi. She died Friday, May 12, 2000, at Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Dawsie Sebrin Cline met Laura at a Roller Skating Rink in Gulfport, Mississippi while he was in the Air Force. He told her when he met her that he was going to marry her. Laura and Dawsie married on May 2, 1945 in Jefferson, Marion County, Texas.
Laura was a member of the Dietariary Association of Lea Regional Medical Center. She also was a dietary supervisor for many years at Lea Regional Hospital
Survivors include her son, Robert D. Cline, Sr. of Hobbs; and four daughters, Patricia Ann Hess of Hobbs, Carolyn Louise Reyes of Portales, N.M., Linda Diane Jolly of Charlotte, N.C., and Donna Fay Pilkinton of Cherokee, Ala.; two brothers, Robert Jones of Plantation, Fla., and Albert Jones of Gulfport; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Hope Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday.
