Hannah is the daughter of John Dade, but is sealed to Seth Holroyd. Hannah wanted to be sealed to her step-father. Mary Halliday Holroyd was never married to John Dade. Mary Holroyd was also sealed to Henry Gale 18 Nov 1865. Henry Gale asked Hannah (age 15) to marry him. She said she would if he would marry her mother first and provide her with a small cabin behind the main home.

On 18 November 1865 in the Endowment House, Henry Gale married Mary Halliday and then Hannah Dade Holroyd. Mary Halliday Holroyd, Hannah's mother never lived with Henry Gale, but he provided her with a cabin and provided for her until her death 14 March 1879.

Years later the family of Seth Holroyd had the sealings of Mary cancelled to Henry Gale, and had her sealed to their father, Seth Holroyd, on 9 February 1922. They also had Hannah Gale sealed to her mother in April 1929, thereby making her name Holroyd rather than Dade.

Information from FGR submitted by Henry Lafe Bradshaw of Beaver, Utah. He is a great grandson of Mary H. Holroyd. This information is known throughout the Gale Family.
