Mrs. Edna Norene Maassen, 80, of 402 N. Orange Ave., Arcadia, Fla., passed away in the DeSoto Memorial Hospital Sat., April 9. She was born in Quincy, Ill. and came to Arcadia in 1917. She was a member of the Arcadia Rebekah Lodge No. 67 and past Noble Grand. She was past President of the Fla. State Rebekah Assembly. Survivors include one son: John S Maassen, Jr., of Arcadia; 3 brothers; Earnest Murray of Lake Wales, Robert Murray and Pete Murray both of Tampa; 2 sisters; Mrs Eacie Coffee of Tampa and Mrs. Mary Curlin of Annapolis, Maryland; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Mon., April 11 at 11 a.m. from the Robart-Grady Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. R.A. Pirangle officiating with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia, Fla.
