Our dad met Jesus with his family by his side. He was born in Fresno, Ca. to Peter and Helen Becker, graduated from Central High School and served in the Korean War.

Chet moved to Madera in 1968.

He retired from Mayfair Market.

In his spare time Chet enjoyed farming.

Chet married Gay Haupt, and they shared 39 loving years together.

Chet was a life member of The American Legion Clovis Post 147, and a member of the Madera Elks Lodge for 40 years; he was involved with UFCW Retirees Club, and Edison Social Club. He served on both UFCW Local 1288 Union and Credit Union Executive Boards for 25 years.

Chet was preceded in death by his sister Eleanor Bopp; and brother, Ernest Becker.

He is survived by his wife Gay Becker; his daughters, La Tricia Payton and her husband Larry, Debra Irby and her husband Don, Cindy Boyadjian, Terri Becker- Denney and her husband John, and Jerri Becker; his granddaughter, Shelby Payton; he also leaves behind numerous relatives.

Visitation will be held at Jay Chapel in Madera, Ca. on Thursday, February 25, 2010, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Jay Chapel in Madera, Ca. on Friday, February 26, 2010, at 11:00 a.m.

Interment to follow at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, Madera, Ca. Remembrances may be made to Hinds Hospice, 1616 W. Shaw #A-5, Fresno, Ca. 93711.
