Don Jordan, died at his home in Santa Cruz after a brief illness. He was 72.

A native of Stockton, Mr. Jordan had lived in Santa Cruz for 60 years. A Korean War veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy for four years.

He was a longtime men's clothing salesman, working at Harris Brothers, Morris Abrams, Fords and Gottschalks Department Store, before retiring in 1994.

He enjoyed gardening and his home. He loved traveling, especially Alaskan cruises, and weekends in Reno, Nev. He also enjoyed spending time with his "card" buddies.

Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife of 33 years, Maureen Jordan of Santa Cruz; daughter Rebecca R. Jordan of Berkeley; sons Thomas D. Jordan, William Spencer Jordan and Joel L. Jordan, all of Grass Valley; sister Nancy Huiras of Lockeford; and one grandson.

His brother, Charles Murray Jordan, died in 1987.
