LIZZIE WINWARD FINAL SERVICES HELD MONDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Lizzie Clark Winward, 66, former Vernal resident, were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Vernal Fourth Ward Chapel. Mrs. Winward died Wednesday of cancer in a Los Angeles hospital.

Prayer at the mortuary was offered by Max Winward. Prelude and postlude music was played by Ruth Walker. The opening song was "Not Now, But in the Coming Years,: by a trio consisting of Lois Erickson, Marva Lent and Merilyn Maxwell. The invocation was offered by Sharon Meacham.

The first speaker was Van Massey, followed by a vocal duet, "That Beautiful Land," by Lois Erickson and Don M. Walker.

Concluding speaker was Phil Watkins and the closing song was sung by the trio, "God's Other Room." Benediction was offered by Dwain Soderquist.

Dedication of the grave was by Lloyd winward. Pallbearers were Melvin, Ted and Willie Burke, Dale, Max and Don Winward.

Burial was in the Vernal Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Winward was born July 10, 1897, in Vernal to George Albert and Annie McCurdy Clark. She married Joseph H. Winward November 26, 1914, in Vernal. He died in 1935.

She had been a Los Angeles resident since 1961 and was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include a daughter and sons, Mrs. Ray (Thelma) Campbell, Harold, Carl J., all Covina, California; William, Vernal; Kenneth, Salt Lake City; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.
