Mrs. G. Arthur (Helen) Larson, 92,of Bethany Homes, Fargo, ND, died Thur., Aug. 17, 1995 at Heartland Medical Center in Fargo.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Aug. 21, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Fargo.
Helen Engebretson was born March 25, 1903 in Hillsboro, ND, the daughter of Ole and Mattie Monson Engebretson.
She grew up and attended school in Hillsboro, ND, graduating from Hillsboro High School in 1921.
After High School, she came to Fargo and attended St. John's School of Nursing from 1924 until graduating in 1927 as a registered nurse. She worked at St. John's Hospital in Fargo as a Registered Nurse until her marriage to Dr. G. Arthur Larson on Aug. 16, 1928 in Park Rapids, MN.
After their marriage, the couple made their home in Fargo and Helen was a housewife and homemaker.
Her husband, Dr. G. Arthur Larson, preceded her in death on April 11, 1982. Helen continued to live in Fargo, and later moved to Bethany Homes in November of 1993, where she has resided since.
Helen was a volunteer director of the Home Nursing Program in Fargo during WW11. She was a member of the Fargo Fine Arts Club, a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, a 50 year member of the Fargo Music Club and a 60 year member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fargo.
She is survived by one daughter, Doris (Dr, Calvin K.) Frecho, Fargo; three sisters: Haldis Williams, Port Charlotte, FL; Doris Kildall, Mt. Vernon, WA; Myrtle Williams, Anaheim, CA; she is also survived by five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Her husband, and one son, George A. Larson on April 7, 1994.
