Charles Edwin Bowlsby was born in Albion, Calhoun, Michigan in 1844 to Charles Bowlsby and Melissa Jane Thompaon. He married Jenny May Jones on Feb. 14, 1877 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They had 5 children: Clarence Edward, Daisy Violet, Jesse, Charles Franklin and Albert Leon. They came to Oregon abt. 1887 and settled in Pendleton.
