McGUFFEY - Mrs. Josephine Adams, 73, died at 9:20 p.m. Thursday at Hardin Memorial hospital, Kenton, after suffering a heart attack. She had been ill two days.
Mrs. Adams, a resident of Hardin-co for 50 years, was born in Salyersville, Ky., Oct. 20, 1879. Her husband, Hard Adams, died Feb. 18, 1953.
Surviving are six sons, Clyde of Chillicothe; Curt, Robert and Eugene, all of McGuffey; Sam of Eaton Rapids, Mich.; John of Bluffton, Ind.; five daughters, Mrs. J. W. Alderson of McGuffey; Mrs. Blanche Tyree of Muncie; Mrs. J. J. Miles of Dayton; Mrs. Walter Fisher of Ada; Mrs. Lloyd Downing of Ada; Mrs. Ida Powell of Mansfield; Mrs. Maude Willis of Wenatchee, Wash.; 26 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Hanson funeral home, Alger. The Rev. Lee Moore is in charge with burial in Preston cemetery, Alger.
