Joel Trimble
Services for Joel C. Trimble, 88, long-time Corsicana resident, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Corley Funeral Home in Corsicana with burial at Oakwood Cemetery in Cor-sicana. He died Tuesday in Dallas.
Mr. Trimble was born Jan. 22, 1893. He was a leader in Corsicana music circles for many years having organized the first Corsicana High School band and directing it 11 years. He organized the Odd Fellows
and State Home Band and directed them for a number of years. He was a member of the Waco Scottish Rite Temple for 50 years, a member of the York Rite, Royal Arch and Commmandery Masons, a charter member of Mostah Temple Shrine Band and the Hella Temple Shrine Band in Dallas and a charter member of the Texas Music Educators.
He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Betty Trimble Edwards of Odessa and Horse Shoe Bay and Mrs. Patricia Trimble Olson of Lafayette, La; six grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Mary Buschhaus of Dallas.
