Dr. G. A. BAIRD, 61, prominent Hiawatha osteopathic surgeon, died unexpectedly Tuesday, March 5, of an apparent heart attack. He died at his clinic while at work. He has practiced in Hiawatha since 1938 and has a wide practice. He was active in many Hiawatha affairs. He is survived by his wife Jennie of the home; a daughter, Belinda of the home; two brothers and a sister. Jim BAIRD of Hiawatha is a nephew. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon from the First Christian Church in Hiawatha with burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
