Stephen M. "Steve" Brock, 49, of Johnson, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2002, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was a native of Hampton, Va., and had been a resident of Johnson for the past 14 years, coming from Washington, D.C. He was a retired carpenter and was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his father, William O. Brock, Sr.
He is survived by his companion of 18 years, Barbara of Johnson; his mother, Anna Myrtle Glenn of Hampton; one son, Stephen of Johnson; one daughter, Amanda of Johnson; three brothers, Bradley Glenn of Indiana, Ronnie Brock of El Paso, Texas, Bill Brock of St. Louis, Mo.; five sisters, Sandy Vitek of Cocoa Beach, Judy Hale of Cape Canaveral, Lynn Brock of Connecticut, and Carol Rogers and Marsha Brock, both of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today, Jan. 21, 2001, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Johnson with the Rev. Charles Litzell officiating. Calling hours and video tribute will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Masters Funeral Home of Interlachen, which is in charge of arrangements. (Palatka Daily News Obituary dtd 21 Jan 2001.)
