Mary E. Skidmore Arnold
WICHITA FALLS - Mary Emma Skidmore Arnold, 74, of Wichita Falls, formerly of Blossom, died Monday, June 29, at her home.
Services were scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 1, at the Fain Presbyterian Church with Dr. Keith Hill and the Rev. James W. Mosley officiating. Burial was to be in Crestview Memorial Park by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Arnold was born May 28, 1918, in Blossom, a daughter of G. L. and Mary Emma Skidmore. She married Gordon D. Arnold July 14, 1935. They moved to Wichita Falls in 1937 where they owned and operated Gordon Arnold Furniture Shop for 41 years. She was a member of the Fain Presbyterian Church.
Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Lucy Carolyn Braddock of Southlake and Nancy Elizabeth Estes of Norman Okla.; two sons, Marvin Ray Arnold of Plano and Allyn Wayne Arnold of New Boston; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Cartha Monk and Hailey Johnson, both of Blossom, and a brother, G. L. Skidmore of Paris.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Wichita Falls or the Fain Presbyterian Church.
