Robert was the 23 year old son of Wiley W. Carr and Minnie Nelson. He was single, resided in Alamogordo, Otero Co., New Mexico and was actively serving as a U.S. Army Air Corps 1st LT with the 78th Army Air Corps Fighter Squad, when He was killed in Japan during World War II.
