Yaphank, L.I., May 7- The funeral of Captain Richard S Homan, a well known sea captain of Long Island, who died on Tuesday last, was held here to-day from his late home, A delegate from South Side lodge, No. 493, F. and A.M., of Patchoque, of which the deceased had been a member for thirty-two years, was present and buried the deceased with Masonic honors. Captian Homan was born in Yaphank January 19, 1837 and followed the sea from a young lad until fourteen years ago, when he recieved a stroke of paralysis. During the civil war he served in the Second New York Volunteer calvalry. He leaves a widow and two children, a son and a daughter. Interment was in the Yaphank Cemetery.
