Miss Maud Miller of Elizabethtwon & Dr W F Alvey of Paducah, were married last night at the home of Mr & Mrs James Glauber of Paducah. Mrs Glauber is a sister of the groom. Bride is the daughter of the late Byron Miller and Dr Alvey is the son of Wm Alvey of Hardin Co, KY.

DR. W. F. ALVEY DIES MONDAY OF ASTHMA
Dr. William F. Alvey, 66, of Louisville, died of asthma Monday morning [July 29, 1940] at the home of his brother-in-law, B.B. Stith, in Elizabethtown, where he was spending the weekend. Dr. Alvey, an eye, ear, nose and throat specialist, was a native of Hardin County. He is survived by his wife, two brothers and four sisters. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock a the home of a sister, Mrs. S.M. Duvall in Elizabethtown, with interment in the Elizabethtown City Cemetery.

Dr. W. Frank Alvey, 65, eye, ear, nose and throat specialist in Louisville for the last fifteen years, died Monday morning [July 29, 1940] at his home in Elizabethtown. He was a graduate of the Louisville College of Medicine and was a member of the Muldraugh Hill Medical Society. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maud Alvey; two brothers, P.C. Alvey and Hugh Alvey; four sisters, Mrs. Sue Glauber, Mrs. Ann Fairleigh, Mrs. Claude Brown and Mrs. S.M. Duvall.
