Daniel C. Guerin, 79, passed away at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington on October 3rd, 2009. He was born in Boston on October 25th, 1929 to his parents John and Nora (Lombard) Guerin. Dan was raised and educated in South Boston. He is a graduate of South Boston High School. During the Korean War, he served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. For over 30 years, Dan worked as a Postman in Malden. He was a member of the American Legion and the Irish American Club in Malden. Dan was an accomplished handball player who is a member of the South Boston Sports Hall of Fame and the L Street Hall of Fame. He is survived by his children,his 10 grandchildren, and by his brother. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Daniel was predeceased by his wife Janet M (Morley) Guerin; by his daughter Margaret, and by his sisters Mary and Elizabeth.
