Brandon Lee Cooper, 17, of 3807 Lovell Drive, Owensboro, died Monday, May 27, 2002, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville from injuries suffered in a car accident. The Daviess County native was a junior at Owensboro High School, a member of Southeastern Baptist Church and enjoyed baseball, swimming and computers. Survivors include his father, Tony Cooper Sr. of Owensboro; his mother, Celia Cooper of Owensboro; his stepfather, Keith Miller of Owensboro; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Morris of Maceo; a brother, Tony Cooper Jr. of Owensboro; two sisters, Jennifer Lynn Cooper and Stacy Lynn Cooper, both of Owensboro; and several uncles and aunts. Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Haley-McGinnis & Owensboro Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Owensboro. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Brandon Lee Cooper Memorial Fund.
