Laurel J. Cushing (Davis), 80, passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2009. She celebrated Christmas with family and friends the day before. She resided at 3850 West 3240 South in the Granger area of West Valley City, Utah at the time of her death.

She was born December 21, 1929 in Park City, Utah. She was the daughter of Hyrum and Pearl Jorgenson of Peoa, Utah.

Laurel married Charles Earl Cushing on January 25, 1947 and had their children sealed to them on February 5, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple. She was also married to Wayne Davis; later divorced.

She was multi-talented in sewing, quilting, woodwork, and gardening, to name a few. She was loved dearly and will be missed by family and friends.

She is survived by her five children: Phil (Diane) Cushing, Curtis (Cherylle) Cushing, Thomas (Regenia) Cushing, Susan Cushing, and Steven Cushing.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Marion Cemetery, Marion. A viewing will be held on Thursday from 10:00-11:45 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West).
