Josefina "Pepita" Albarran Delgado (7), Lake Travis Elementary School student, was welcomed into heaven on December 15, 2009.
Josefina enjoyed music, dancing, dress-up, and playing with her chihuaha, Pedro. She especially loved reading books in her native language of Spanish. Josefina's outgoing personality and bright smile endeared her to everyone she met. She was beloved by her family, her many friends, her teachers, her bus driver, and the entire staff at Lake Travis Elementary School.
Josefina is survived by her parents, Leoncio and Josefina Delgado and her devoted siblings: brothers Moises, Francisco, and Leoncio, and her sister Bertha. Although we were only blessed with her sweet spirit for a short time, she will be forever remembered and missed by those who knew her.
The family would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Lake Travis school district, Emmaus Catholic Church, Weed-Corley-Fish, and the Lake Travis community for their outpouring of love and support at this difficult time. Gracias, mamita, por habernos ayudado. You were beloved.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at Weed-Corley-Fish Lake Travis Chapel, 411 RR 620 South, Austin, Texas, 78734, with a rosary following at 6:00 PM.
Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 21, 2009 at Emmaus Catholic Church, with a reception to follow. Interment will be held at Assumption Cemetery.
